MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Combat Systems Engineer to join our team. This is a remote position.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Develops briefing materials, meeting agendas, minutes, and tracks resolution of action items
Provide systems engineering support in all applicable warfare mission areas and to both new construction and in-service ships
Collects and analyzes data to monitor and track system metrics
Perform engineering review and critique of combat system proposals and efforts, identifying engineering shortfalls, key trade requirements, additional option considerations, and general assessments of concepts/ideas and methodologies being pursued
Identifies, reports, and assists with the resolution of program issues
Work across the entire organization or program to gather and assess information relative to the ability of the combat system to meet its intended need
Participate in combat system test events, including preparation, execution, and report generation
Travel up to 10%
Minimum Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in any discipline OR a High School diploma and 5+ years of Systems Engineering experience supporting a U.S. Navy program in lieu of degree
1+ year of system engineering experience supporting a U.S. Navy program OR 1+ years of active-duty Navy supervisory experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Navy Surface Ship Aegis Combat Systems
Clearance Requirements:
Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess an active or current Secret Security Clearance
Physical Requirements:
The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
