ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Capture Executive to join our Federal Civilian team in Herndon, VA or on a remote basis.  This individual will have intimate knowledge and customer domain experience within the Federal Civilian market including the Department of Veteran Affairs (VA), Department of Homeland Security, and the State Department.

This position works closely with ManTech business programs and leaders to provide strategic direction and leadership; develop comprehensive and compelling solutions; support qualification of new business opportunities; develop creative and innovative capture strategies; and lead the preparation of winning proposals.  

  

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Perform market analysis, strategic business planning, and capture strategy/solution development, leading to award of large, new prime contracts. 

  • Plan and execute client contact and positioning, teaming interactions, and coordination with business development, solution architecture and other resources available across the enterprise. 

  • Drive customer relationship management and opportunity tracking, spanning a variety of contract types including cost plus fixed fee, fixed price, award fee, and performance-based contracting. 

  • Understand market trends and translate client and competitive intelligence into compelling capture strategies and solutions.  

  • Develop clear and concise win themes and value propositions. 

  • Proven ability to lead high performing teams to create and maintain capture artifacts that monitor gaps, actions, and progress. 

  • Strong communicator with excellent presentation and interpersonal skills and business acumen.  

  • Leverage deep understanding of client needs and objectives in the areas of Artificial Intelligence; Enterprise IT; Systems Engineering and Software Development; Managed Services; Infrastructure Modernization; Data Transport and Systems Integration; Application Development and Modernization; Big Data and Data Analytics; Cyber Threats, Cyber Security and Advanced Technologies. 

  • Domestic travel up to 25%

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 10 years of program management, business development, and/or capture experience within the Department of Veteran Affairs (VA), Department of Homeland Security, and the State Department. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered, particularly with military service.    

  • A minimum of 8 years years experience executing a sales lifecycle with ability to adapt to ManTech’s refined Shipley Process. 

  • Track record of successful capturing and winning >$100M new business opportunities as prime. 

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and execute disciplined efforts for large and complex captures focused on high-end engineering challenges in the unrestricted Federal 

  • Organized, aggressive, and highly skilled professional with proven success in selling in highly competitive systems engineering Federal Civilian markets. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience establishing a task order proposal capture process and/or cadence.

  • Shipley Certification(s)

  • Public relations or marketing experience.

  • Ability to drive/follow the Capture process from opportunity positioning and qualification through proposal development, while always keeping the internal Salesforce-based growth system up-to-date. 

  • Adaptable to changing priorities and company initiatives such as process improvement and new software implementation and upgrades.

Security Requirements  

  • U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a Secret clearance

  

Physical Requirements 

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%. 

  • Must be able to travel to client engagements, industry events, etc. as needed to execute the win strategy. 

  • Frequently communicates with co-workers, senior leadership, and clients, which involves developing and delivering compelling presentations to senior executives. Must be able to concisely share accurate information in these situations. 

 


The projected compensation range for this position is $137,000.00-$245,800.00.
