Description & Requirements
Currently ManTech is seeking an experienced Nuclear Aircraft Carrier (CVN) Auxiliary Engineer for our San Diego facility.
Summary:
The CVN Auxiliary Systems Engineer will be responsible for documenting and maintaining the material condition and war-fighting readiness of all aircraft carriers assigned to Commander Naval Pacific (CNAP).
CNAP ensures the fleet maintains combat readiness. This includes a focus on flawless execution of the basics, and a constant drive for excellence.
Responsibilities are but not limited to:
Documenting aircraft carrier deficiencies and repairs within maintenance availabilities, managing and scheduling hull cleanings
Advising the Navy Fleet of safety concerns, and maintaining a budget
Additionally this position will need to interface with NAVSEA/NAVAIR, Type Commanders, shipyard facilities, various program managers, contractors, and ship's force
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree or Eight (8) Years of nuclear experience onboard aircraft carriers (CVN)
System experience on main propulsion, auxiliary, electrical, and damage control systems
Experience communicating and interfacing with senior Navy personnel on a routine
basisExperience as a Manager/Leader in a Navy environment
Experience communicating both orally and in writing with background experience in
database management.Some travel required (typically no more than 2 weeks at a time).
Preferred requirements:
Experience in the use electronic Forms (eFORMS), including eDFS, eARRTS, SPAR, and LAR.
Ability to analyze and evaluate the Current Ships Maintenance Projects (CSMP) and review jobs
Background in Quality Assurance (QA).
Clearance Requirements:
US Citizenship and a US Secret Clearance is required, an Interim to Start is acceptable
Physical Requirements:
Be able to move around the office and or ship
Operate standard office equipment
Be able to communicate professionally with ManTech employees and ManTech clients.
The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
