ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented C4I Systems Engineer to support our contract under Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC) out of Quantico, VA.
The mission of Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC) is to serve as the Department of the Navy's (DON) systems command for Marine Corps ground weapon and information technology system programs in order to equip and sustain Marine forces with full-spectrum, current and future expeditionary and crisis response capabilities
Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Provide Systems Engineering support to MCSC and relevant joint/naval stakeholders to further the integration of tactical communication systems.
This role involves providing expert technical oversight for developing the integration of C4I systems, and Tactical Data Links (TDL).
The Systems Engineer will support the study and research of TDL-specific system interfaces such as Link 16, Joint Range Extension Application Protocol (JREAP), Variable Message Format (VMF), and Cursor on Target (CoT) to ensure interoperability and functionality across Marine Corps, Navy, and Joint platforms.
Specific activities include analyzing TDL-based information exchange requirements, interface designs, verification strategies, and identifying integration concerns within MAGTF and Joint operations.
This role requires coordination across various stakeholders and the development of risk mitigation strategies for tactical communication systems integration.
Mandatory Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree and at least 10 years of related experience in C4I Systems Engineering (additional 2 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.)
Expert-level understanding of Marine Air-Ground Task Force (MAGTF) integration, and
multi-service interoperability.Knowledgeable in Tactical Data Link (TDL) systems, including Link 16, JREAP, VMF, and CoT, and their integration and interoperability within MAGTF.
Knowledgeable in MIL-STD standards related to Tactical Data Link systems, including MIL-STD-6016, MIL-STD-3011, MIL-STD-6017, MIL-STD-6020, and MIL-STD-188-220 message, data element, and protocol standards.
