ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Aerospace Structural Welder to join our team in Panama City, FL. This job is onsite.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Read and interpret drawings, schematics, and rough sketches
Use drawings and specifications to plan welding operations
Performs such tasks as welding aluminum, stainless steel, and Inconel
Fabricating, assembling or installing equipment or parts
Performs assignments that are not completely standardized or prescribed
Selects or adapts standard procedures or equipment, using fully applicable precedents
Receives initial instructions, equipment requirements, and advice from supervisor or engineer as needed
Performs recurring work independently
Domestic Travel up to 25%
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma
3+ years of experience in using a variety of hand tools, precision measuring instruments and welding tools and equipment
Experience in MIG/TIG welding of aluminum, stainless steel, and Inconel components
Ability to pass the NAVSEA certification test in welding techniques for aluminum welding
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with fabricating replacement parts, new components, and performing modifications on US NAVY LCAC SSC (Landing Craft, Air Cushion Connector )- (Ship-to-Shore) SSC / legacy LCAC
Experience assessing and reporting findings
Proficient in written communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills
Clearance Requirements:
U.S. Citizenship required and an active Secret security clearance or ability to obtain an Interim secret before starting
Required to get a CAC badge as well as Base Security Access approval
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry 50 Lbs.
Work extensive time in stationary positions.
Climb and descend ladders.
Ability to work in confined/restricted spaces
