ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Aerospace Structural Welder to join our team in Panama City, FL. This job is onsite.
 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Read and interpret drawings, schematics, and rough sketches 

• Use drawings and specifications to plan welding operations

• Performs such tasks as welding aluminum, stainless steel, and Inconel

• Fabricating, assembling or installing equipment or parts

• Performs assignments that are not completely standardized or prescribed

• Selects or adapts standard procedures or equipment, using fully applicable precedents

• Receives initial instructions, equipment requirements, and advice from supervisor or engineer as needed

• Performs recurring work independently

• Domestic Travel up to 25%

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma

• 3+ years of experience in using a variety of hand tools, precision measuring instruments and welding tools and equipment

• Experience in MIG/TIG welding of aluminum, stainless steel, and Inconel components

• Ability to pass the NAVSEA certification test in welding techniques for aluminum welding

• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with fabricating replacement parts, new components, and performing modifications on US NAVY LCAC SSC (Landing Craft, Air Cushion Connector )- (Ship-to-Shore) SSC / legacy LCAC

• Experience assessing and reporting findings

• Proficient in written communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills

Clearance Requirements:

• U.S. Citizenship required and an active Secret security clearance or ability to obtain an Interim secret before starting

• Required to get a CAC badge as well as Base Security Access approval

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry 50 Lbs.

• Work extensive time in stationary positions.

• Climb and descend ladders.

• Ability to work in confined/restricted spaces
