ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Aeronautical Systems Engineer to join our team in Lexington Park, MD. This is an onsite position.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Apply engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, or evaluate military weapons systems
  • Review and prepare engineering and technical analyses, reports, and other technical documentation
  • Analyze, design, develop, or evaluate components or systems related to engineering or functional requirements of military weapons systems and associated support systems
  • Develop and edit material for reports, briefs, and related technical publications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or an Engineering related discipline, OR, An associate’s degree with related discipline and 7+ years of relevant work experience, OR, a high school diploma and 9+ years of relevant work experience may be substituted for bachelor’s degree requirement
  • 3+ years of experience related to Rotary Wing Engineering
  • Experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD), preferably SolidWorks

 Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with MATLAB and/or similar tools
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Teams applications
  • Rotary Wing and Design course completions

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess a Secret security clearance

Physical Requirements:    

  • The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
  • Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.

The projected compensation range for this position is $75,700.00-$126,300.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.  In addition, ManTech invests in it’s employees beyond just compensation.  ManTech’s benefits offerings include, dependent upon position, Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, Holiday Pay, Short Term and Long Term Disability, Retirement and Savings, Learning and Development opportunities, wellness programs as well as other optional benefit elections.
