We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Aegis Combat Systems Program Analyst to join our team in Washington, DC. Job Summary:
In this role, you will be responsible for developing briefs to Senior Naval leadership on a wide variety of Aegis combat system fleet readiness issues with minimal oversight/guidance.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Assist the Program Executive Office Integrated Warfare Systems (PEO IWS) 1F Major Program Manager/Deputy Major Program Manager (MPM/DMPM) in developing briefs to Senior Naval leadership on a wide variety of Aegis combat system fleet readiness issues with minimal oversight/guidance
Attend high-level briefings and taking detailed notes for later briefings to the MPM/DMPM on fleet combat systems issues
Maintain a schedule of upcoming combat systems fleet readiness related briefings
Minimum Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in any general field of study with a minimum of five 5 years of Navy fleet experience in an AEGIS Combat Systems role
Former Junior US Naval Officer with an honorable discharge
Experience leading or supporting a major US Navy program initiative
Demonstrated leadership skills and experience managing teams
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to research program information and adapt and re-use relevant information from other briefs
Experience working with SharePoint and Confluence
Clearance Requirements:
Current and active Secret Security clearance
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position for 50% of the time.
Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
Often positions self to maintain computers in the lab, including under the desks and in the server closet.
Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
May be asked to move Audio/Visual or Computer equipment.
