Description & Requirements
ManTech seeks an Acquisition Systems Engineer to help support our current Marine Corps Systems Command, Program Manager Intelligence & Cyber Operations Contract in Stafford, VA. The Systems Engineer will support research and development, acquisition, and sustainment of innovative cyberspace systems in executing engineering tasks throughout all phases of the acquisition lifecycle.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Assist the Systems Engineering team in navigating the DoD 5000 Systems Engineering and Technical Review process.
Provide technical expertise in the development, integration, and sustainment of tactical intelligence systems.
Conduct thorough analysis of current and future system requirements to inform design and development efforts.
Develop and review key engineering documentation, including System Engineering Plans, Test and Evaluation Master Plans, Interface Control Documents, and System Specifications.
Support engineering technical reviews by preparing documentation, reviewing criteria, and developing briefing materials.
Manage engineering change proposals, assess their technical merit, and guide the change management process through Configuration Control Boards.
Collaborate effectively with government program offices to manage engineering tasks, provide subject matter expertise, and develop solutions to technical challenges.
Coordinate program meetings, maintain documentation repositories, and provide administrative support as needed.
Provides expertise and direction in the development or modification of system/subsystem functions and programs to enhance overall system capabilities
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree and at least 5 years of related experience supporting acquisition programs in Systems Engineering to include the following: (Additional 3 years of experience can be substituted in lieu of degree)
Requirements Definition, Modular Testing, Design Methodology, Technical Documentation, Systems Integration and Testing, Change Proposal Assessment, Database Design and Development
Proficiency in applying DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF) and Unified Architecture
Framework (UAF) principles
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters Degree
Direct experience supporting DoD/USMC tactical intelligence operations and environments.
Demonstrated knowledge of systems development lifecycle, network/systems design and implementation, virtualization, and cloud technologies.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project.
DAU Engineering Foundational or higher certification.
DoDD 8140 (formerly 8570) compliance certification.
Experience with Agile Scrum methodology.
Prior military intelligence experience (enlisted or officer)
Clearance Required:
Must have an Active TS/SCI
