MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Tax Accountant to join our team in Herndon, VA.  This is a hybrid position with 2-3 days onsite.

Responsibilities to include but not limited to:

• Prepare and/or review returns for income tax, personal property tax, sales/use tax, BPOL, gross receipts tax, and other types as needed

• Assist in preparation of quarterly tax provision

• Monitor and handle internal requests to corporate tax department e-mail and respond to inquiries from tax authorities

• Research various tax related issues

• Prepare internal memoranda when needed

• Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment

• Recognizes the importance of document maintenance

Minimum Requirements:

• 2+ years corporate income tax experience

• Certified Public Accountant or planning to sit for exam

• Willingness to dig into account data and examine details

• Focus on attention to detail

• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite products, Adobe)

• Ability to work effectively with outside service providers and other departments within company

Preferred requirements:

• Experience with Thompson Reuters One Source Income Tax (OIT) and One Source Tax Provision (OTP) software

• Big 4/Public Accounting Firm work experience

• International tax experience or state and local tax experience

Clearance Requirement:

• US Citizenship required

Physical Requirements:

• The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.

• Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.”
